Long Island City is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Long Island City is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. I purchased from Sans bakery a gluten‑free order that included mini cinnamon‑roll/coffee‑cake pastry from Sans Bakery, and the product was dangerous. The pastry disintegrated into extremely fine flour particles the moment I bit into it, which caused immediate airway obstruction.I have COPD and atrial fibrillation and this triggered a 15‑minute breathing crisis where I struggled to inhale and had to use my levabuterol rescue inhaler to regain airflow. This was not a mild reaction β€” it was a severe respiratory event that left me shaken and physically exhausted for the rest of the morning. Because the defect occurred during eating, there were no photos to provide; the issue was internal to the product.I contacted Sand’s Bakery immediately with a detailed explanation of the incident. Days have passed with no response, no acknowledgment, and no concern shown for customer safety. Based on the seriousness of the incident and the complete lack of customer service, I cannot recommend this bakery. Consumers with respiratory conditions should be aware that this product posed a genuine choking and breathing hazard. Worse yet I have written 2 emails asking for refund and request to investig

My mother was recently diagnosed with Celiac, so finding safe gluten free places is new for us. She absolutely loved the Raspberry Bars! I love seeing more gluten-free friendly places cropping up around Astoria, and Sans is definitely on the top of my list!!

No formal opening hours but I was lucky enough to get a chocolate muffin which is one of the most delicious things I have ever put in my mouth. Rich, dark, slightly chewy inside, crunchy on top. Phenomenal.

I can't give Sans Bakery enough compliments! Their service and care about items shipped is better than anyone I have dealt with past present and probably future. My sister wanted to order a Lamington cakes for my birthday. Brian made sure I was shipped what my sister had ordered; the six individual cakes that are wrapped(I thought it was the cake). However, UPS in their divine wisdom, deemed it necessary to ship them on a scenic tour. They didn't arrive on time for my birthday but that was NO FAULT of the bakery's. I want that to be perfectly clear. I reached out to Brian and while I was disappointed that I wouldn't get them on time he was so kind and empathetic that I couldn't stay upset for long. Again, I thought it was the regular cake and not the individual ones. Brian said he would ship replacements but once I saw they were the individual ones and confirmed they were still fine to eat, I was happy, my sister was happy, all was well. But Brian wasn't having it, he was unhappy that UPS failed us both. Imagine my surprise when a few days later I received another box of the Lamington cakes! I was not expecting that. I was perfectly fine with the outcome but Brian again is an amaz
